One of our most frequently requested titles, the E.M. Forster adaptation (directed by James Ivory) caught everyone by surprise, confirmed the talent of Daniel Day Lewis and Helena Bonham Carter, and went on to become a huge independent hit. Bonham Carter is the beautiful young woman vacationing in early - 20th century Italy who meets and falls for another young brit, Julian Sands. Back home complications ensue when her prissy fiance quite naturally takes umbrage at her wayward behavior.
