ÒTom and Huck go to hellÓ (Film Comment). Harmony KorineÕs debut (he scripted Kids while still a teenager) looks at the hopeless lives of a few kids "living" in a suburb of Dayton, Ohio, a place where parental authority is non-existent and day-to-day life consists of looking for jolts of excitement through sex, glue-sniffing, cat-hunting (!), crime and heavy metal. A must-see to gauge the state of things today... (USA, 1997, 86 min.) 14 Accompaniment -- disturbing scenes, coarse language.
