Set in the early 1920s, A Chef in Love is the picaresque tale of chef Pascal (French star Pierre Richard), a former gigolo and operatic tenor with an unerring sense of smell, who is travelling the world in search of sensational new tastes. Stopping in Tbilisi, Georgia, he meets the beautiful and fiery Princess Cecilia (Nino Kirtadze), 30 years his junior. They begin to travel together, tasting, touching and falling in love. When PascalÕs sense of smell saves the Georgian president from assassination, Pascal is rewarded with his dream -- his own restaurant, ÒThe New Eldorado.Ó History catches up with them, however, when the Red Army invades and the lovers are separated.
