John Hurt shines as social gadfly Stephen Ward, the man who introduced showgirl Christine Keeler (Joanne Whalley-Kilmer) to cabinet minister John Profumo (Ian McKellen) in the early sixties, thereby setting in motion one of England's most notorious sex scandals. An excellent debut feature from Michael Caton-Jones.
