Tampopo
Japanese director Juzo Itami burst onto the international scene with this his second feature, a "noodle western" that has as its central story the comic attempts of an wandering truck driver and his cohorts to convert a widow's noodle house into a viable business. Wrapped around this tale are clever and irreverent vignettes about the connection between food and eroticism. A funny and original satirical comedy.
