It seems that people have the impression that CUPE has a monopoly on labour on campus. This isn't so. Stores and food outlets in the university village, certain residences, and the SUB are not members of the union. This would indicate that the UBC administration is capable of having non-CUPE members sell hot-dogs on campus without breaking any agreement it has with CUPE. This might involve "leasing" a tiny parcel of land to the hot dog vendors, or something of the sort.

I say freeze the tube-steaks, in large quantities, and have the two sides face each other, in long lines. Issue half of the frozen T-S to each side, and flip a coin. The winner gets to hurl the T-S at the other side. Any remaining people on the receiving-side then get a turn. Repeat, until a winner is declared.
